To import specific kinds of goods into India, firms must get BIS registration (CRS) or certification (ISI). The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) issues BIS Certification India or BIS Registration to guarantee the quality, reliability, and safety of items in compliance with Indian Standards (IS). 3. Microwave ovens- Business Registration is a prerequisite for all Microwave Ovens (IS 302-2-25) brands and models to launch themselves to the Indian Markets. 4. Visual Display Unit / Monitor of screen size 32 inches and above - It is compulsory for each brand and model of Visual Display Unit/ Monitor of 32 inches or above (IS 13252 (Part-1) to secure approval, prior to their launch in the Indian Market. These BIS Licenses are granted only to the manufacturers irrespective of his nationality. However, the dealers, distributors, etc are not eligible for this license.

5. Printer / Plotters - All the brands and models of Printer/Plotters (IS 13252 (Part-1) are obligated to get approval via a BIS Registration prior to their launch to the Indian Market. 6. Telephone Answering Machines – The BIS Registration requirement applies to all brands and models of Telephone Answering Machines (IS 13252 (Part-1), prior to their launch in the Indian Market. These BIS Licenses are granted only to the manufacturers irrespective of his nationality. However, the dealers, distributors, etc are not eligible for this license.

7. Amplifiers with Input Power of 2000W and above - All the brands and models of Amplifiers with Input Power of 2000W and above (IS 616) are obligated to get approval via a BIS Registration prior to their launch to the Indian Market. These BIS Licenses are granted only to the manufacturers irrespective of his nationality. However, the dealers, distributors, etc are not eligible for this license.

8. Electronic Musical Systems with Input Power of 200W and above - It is obligatory for every Electronic Musical Systems with Input Power of 200W and above (IS 616) brand and model to obtain BIS Certifications before penetrating into the Indian Market. These BIS Licenses are granted only to the manufacturers irrespective of his nationality. However, the dealers, distributors, etc are not eligible for this license.

9. Electronic Clocks with Mains Powers - All the brands and models of Electronic Clocks with Mains Powers (IS 302-2-26) are obligated to get approval via a BIS Registration prior to their launch to the Indian Market. These BIS Licenses are granted only to the manufacturers irrespective of his nationality. However, the dealers, distributors, etc are not eligible for this license.

10. Power Adaptors for Audio, Video and similar Electronic Apparatus - All the brands and models of Electronic Clocks with Mains Powers (IS 616) are required to get approval via a BIS Registration prior to their launch to the Indian Market. These BIS Licenses are granted only to the manufacturers irrespective of his nationality. However, the dealers, distributors, etc are not eligible for this license.
